Every medicine including vaccines comes with a patient information leaflet (PIL). At the top of each PIL you’ll see the following statement :
“Read all of this leaflet carefully before the vaccine is given because it contains important information for you or your child.”
If your doctor or nurse does not offer you the PILs you should request them as they are essential reading before making any decisions. Section 4 of these PILS lists all side effects observed during clinical trials. - Boostrix (1 dose) : pertussis (also includes diptheria and tetanus)
- Varivax (2 doses) : chickenpox
- Cominarty Omicron adapted ; Novaxovid (1 dose) : covid 19
- Infanrix-hexa (4 doses) : (6-in-1) diphtheria, pertussis (whooping cough), tetanus, polio, hib and hep B
- Quadrivalent (pregnancy) (1 dose) ; Fluenz (under 5s) (1 dose annually) : influenza
- M-M-RVaxpro; Priorix (2 doses) : measles, mumps, rubella
- Bexsero (3 doses) : meningococcal B
- Menjugate (1 dose) : meningococcal C
- Prevenar 13 (3 doses) : pneumococcal
- Rotarix (2 doses) : rotavirus
- Nirsevimab (beyfortus) (1 dose at birth) : RSV
- Tetravac (4-in-1) – diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus and polio
- Vitamin K : Konakion (1 dose at birth)
